There actually is a secret to taking photos you genuinely love, and it doesn’t really have to do with knowing how to pose.
It’s simply about being yourself!
Forgetting about the camera and letting yourself laugh relaxes you so much more than you might realize. It makes you present with who you’re with.
The moments that make a gallery feel like you, usually aren’t the perfectly posed ones. They’re the little moments that happen between jokes, romantic gestures, and casual conversations.
“What do I do with my hands?”

The thing I hear most often before a session is, “We’re so awkward in front of a camera.”
And honestly, that’s usually only how you perceive yourself and not how it actually looks in your final gallery.
You don’t need to know what to do with your hands, or how to stand, or what you’re supposed to look at. That’s my responsibility. And don’t worry, I will tell you what to do with your hands!
I’ll give you direction when you need, but I also like to allow space for natural interaction. This creates the most genuine images.
“Cameras make me anxious!”

When you stop worrying about whether your smile looks weird, or where you’re supposed to be looking, something changes. You loosen up, and laugh a little more naturally. You get closer. You stop performing and start interacting. Your photos at the beach feel fun instead of stressful.
That’s when I can photograph the little things that make your relationship yours.
The way you share your thoughts through glances.
The way you naturally reach for each other’s hands.
The laugh that happens when you feel a little awkward.
Those are the photos my clients end up loving the most.
“I don’t want to smile at the camera the whole time.”

I also don’t want your photos to feel like a selection of stiff poses you were told to do.
I want them to feel like you were hanging out on the beach, and someone was documenting you in your natural essence.
So show up as you are. Wear something that you feel confident in. Hold your person close. Laugh when something is funny. Don’t worry about your hair blowing around or your clothes getting a little sandy.
You don’t have to feel pressured to make the moment perfect for me, you just have to be in it.
And I’ll take care of the rest!
